Insulation work that may qualify for utility rebates
Veteran-Owned · BPI-Certified · MT · ND · SD · WY

Rebates & Incentives

Insulation and air-sealing often qualify for utility or state rebates. Programs change constantly — here's where to find the current ones, and how we help you document the job to claim them.

Heads up

Programs change — always confirm current terms

Rebate amounts, eligibility and deadlines shift from year to year and differ by utility, state and ZIP code. Treat the links below as a starting point, confirm the current terms with the provider (or your tax professional), and don't count on a rebate until the program confirms it. We don't guarantee any rebate — but we'll give you the clean paperwork most programs require.

Where to look

Current programs & where to check

UTILITY

Your electric / gas utility

Many utilities rebate insulation & air-sealing. In much of MT/SD, that's NorthWestern Energy (check their current insulation rebates). In WY, check Rocky Mountain Power wattsmart. Confirm your own provider's current terms.

STATE

State energy programs

Montana runs efficiency programs through MT DEQ and the Montana Home Energy Rebate Program. ND/SD/WY residents: check your state energy office and utility.

DATABASE

Look it up by ZIP

The DSIRE database lists incentives by state and ZIP, and the ENERGY STAR Rebate Finder shows utility rebates near you.

Federal

About the federal tax credit

The federal 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit — which covered insulation and air-sealing — ended for projects completed after December 31, 2025. If you finished qualifying work in 2025, ask your tax professional about claiming it on your 2025 return. For any current federal incentive, check with a tax professional. We install the work and provide documentation; we do not give tax advice.

Questions

Common questions

Are there rebates for spray foam insulation?

Often yes — many utilities offer rebates for improving insulation and air-sealing, and some state programs help too. Amounts, eligibility and deadlines change and vary by your utility and location, so the current program terms are what matter. We'll point you to what may apply and give you the paperwork to claim it.

Is there still a federal tax credit for insulation?

The federal 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit ended for projects completed after December 31, 2025. If you completed insulation or air-sealing work in 2025, ask your tax professional about claiming it on your 2025 return. For any current federal incentive, check with a tax professional — we don't give tax advice.

Do you handle the rebate paperwork?

We give you what programs ask for — an itemized invoice, the product and R-value details, installed thickness, and a before/after blower-door result where the scope calls for it. You (or the program) file the claim. We don't guarantee any rebate; approval is up to the program.

How do I find what I qualify for?
